MASTER MENTOR
One Day Workshop
By
Perrone-Ambrose Associates, Inc.
|
The Master Mentor is a day-long training program for experienced mentors.
This workshop is for people who:
- have been involved intentionally in either a formal or an informal mentoring relationship
- feel that they are able to apply the basic skills necessary for establishing and sustaining a mentoring relationship
- have a desire to take their mentoring to a higher level
This next level will focus on challenging and empowering the mentee (protégée, partner, recruit) to reach her or his full potential and to incorporate a life- long learner perspective in guiding his or her career.
The session will focus on Growth, Empowerment and Risk-Taking as guiding principles for the Master Mentor. The session will be built around actual mentoring opportunities with emphasis on the mentor receiving mentoring and feedback on his/her approach. The workshop will provide participants with a mentoring process that can be applied to either a mentoring moment or to a formal mentoring meeting. The Master Mentor program will offer mentors a model for identifying their own critical lessons of experience and for communicating these insights to their mentees. The goal is for the mentees to be able to pick up the same lessons from these mentors and apply them to their current career challenges.
Master Mentor is a day of active participation, of stretching and of challenge, so that mentoring skills will be strengthened and enhanced.
Program Objectives:
As a result of this session, mentors will be better able to:
- Challenge mentees in a growth oriented, supportive manner
- Create a comfort zone that will enable mentees to push their own limits
- Utilize a step-by-step approach for guiding the mentoring interaction
- Provide unsolicited developmental feedback
- Identify and apply lessons of experience
